Tallahassee Fireside

What a beautiful and inspiring Fireside we attended in the Tallahassee Stake last night. These wonderful Sisters (Sister Brandt, Sister Lee, and Sister Bushman) did a great job in preparing, and participating in the program, along with (the one and only) Marvin Goldstein, and the Tallahassee Boys Choir.
What a great way to finish off a Sabbath day.

Let's PREPARE!

The Bellamy Bridge

Florida's Most Haunted Bridge. The story of the ghost of Bellamy Bridge is probably Florida's most famous ghost story. It is centered around an old steel frame bridge that spans the Chipola River in the swamps north of Marianna. The legend holds that the restless ghost of a young woman named Elizabeth Jane Bellamy roams the swamps around the bridge on dark and foggy nights. The wife of one of Florida's key antebellum economic and political leaders, she is buried in an overgrown family cemetery not far from the skeletal remains of the old bridge. Bellamy Bridge is not accessible by car, but can be reached via the 1/2 mile Bellamy Bridge Heritage Trail on Highway 162 north of Marianna.

Baptism Day in Tally

So glad we were able to attend Ricky's baptism. Beautiful spirit, beautiful music, and inspiring messages. Happy day for Elder Thomas and Elder Abbott too.

Preparing for Conference

As we prepare for General Conference in just two weeks, let's prepare to hear and follow the direction of Prophets and Apostles. Let's prepare with a desire to learn, change, and become better Missionaries and disciples of Jesus Christ. Let's prepare others to listen and learn by inviting our Investigators and returning members to the Church to watch and benefit from the message's spoken. And as we prepare with true purpose of heart, let's give thanks for a living Prophet and Apostles who guide and direct our journey here on earth. Let's take time to ponder the path of our personal discipleship, as counseled by our Prophet one year ago in Conference.
