And, Last Weekend -
We attended the most incredible fireside in the Fort Walton Stake, planned and put on by our very own Sister Bunderson and Sister Strickland. It was a musical production about the life of the prophet Joseph Smith. The chapel and cultural hall were filled with members and non-members. What a great way to share the message of the gospel. Way to go Sisters!! And we have to say our missionaries ROCK! Seventeen of Heavenly Fathers children were brought into the waters of baptism last week. We are very proud of them.

Thank you for your blog, this is great. I'm so glad the performance went well. Welcome to the new Sisters and Elders.
ReplyDeletePresident and Sister Smith,
ReplyDeleteMy name is Krissie Cook and I'm a member of the Fort Walton 2nd Ward. I was also the conductor of the choir and orchestra for the presentation of "Joseph Smith the Prophet" last Sunday evening.
I wanted to congratulate the missionaries that participated in this exceptional cast and crew, and also to thank you for all your support. I was especially grateful that you gave the missionaries permission to stay a little past curfew on the Saturday evening before the performance; that extra hour or so we spent was crucial in ironing out those last final wrinkles that would have detracted from the special spirit we all felt on Sunday evening.
And you're right, Sister Bunderson and Sister Strickland were incredible, as well as all the other missionaries that participated. Sister Bunderson, in particular, is an extremely gifted musician and was a geniune pleasure to work with throughout the process of planning, practicing and performing the program.
