New Arrival
This past Tuesday we welcomed thirteen new missionaries. Once again, a fabulous group of young men and women. We are excited to serve with them, and to watch their spiritual growth, and contribution to the Lord's work here in Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and Mississippi. After some southern cooking, some important instruction, and a good nights sleep, we meet at the Church for the big day of transfers! We had to round up some coats from the mission home, because it was frosty cold that morning!! The temps had been at 80 degrees, but the arriving missionaries brought cold temps from the Provo MTC with them.President gathers the troops for prayer and last minute instruction before loading up the trucks, cars, and vans to make the day long journey to Mission areas.Elder Musgrave, Elder Woodland, and Elder Nelson install bike racks while the troops are loading luggage. Watch out Elder Musgrave -Sister Comaniuk is driving!!

Date Night with the Senior Citizens, Oh I Mean Senior Couples
All the couples serving in Tallahassee headed out to the quaint little town of Thomasville, Georgia. We enjoyed dinner at the Moonspin pizzeria, and then over to the Thomasville Ward for the annual Christmas Nativity display. It was a great date night!Beautiful nativity displays, and a visit with our missionaries made a perfect evening. Sister Chambers and Sister Swanger. Elder Bennett, Elder Cammack, and Elder Bochenek serve in Thomasville, Georgia. This was a wonderful open house for a community of all faiths to come and share in the joy and reason for the season. Oh, and by the way, it was a balmy 80 degrees outside!
Good Bye Elder Vawdrey
Elder Vawdrey finally received his VISA, after eight months of waiting for it to arrive. We have really loved having him here in the Tallahassee Mission. He has served faithfully, and blessed us all. We will miss him very much!
