Called To Serve

We met our first group of missionaries in the MTC tonight while we were attending the Mission Presidents Seminar. Walked into their classroom while twenty three of them were singing "Called To Serve". Oh what a glorious sight! Be still my heart - I LOVE Missionary work! What darling Elders and Sisters.

  3. Thank you for starting this blog. My son, Elder Collett, is in this wonderful group of missionaries. He is our oldest and the first of our 6 children to serve a mission. As a parent I’m pleased that he will be in your good hands. Wishing you and the Tallahassee Mission the very best! May our Heavenly Father watch over and protect you all.

  5. What a marvelous sight to see our son, Elder Welch, with the missionaries he served with in the MTC and their Mission President and His wife. I am so grateful you started this blog so we can follow what is happening in the great Florida Tallahassee Mission. Elder Welch is our 2nd child but our first missionary to serve. Thank you for your willingness to serve and to watch over our children for the next 2 years of their lives.

  7. Thank you thank you THANK YOU for this blog!!! Elder Smith aka Morgan in this group is my son & it was so great to see a picture of him & these amazing young people he's enjoying serving with so far. I have to admit though, I thought it was the wrong group because I didn't recognize my son with such short hair!!! We are so excited for all of you in this amazing new experience. I know Morgan was really excited about meeting you. He is our 2nd of 4 boys & our first missionary so this is all new to us. We're so proud of his devotion to his this mission & his faith that all the scholarships will be here when he gets home in 2 years has been humbling to me as a parent. His example of faith in doing Heavenly Fathers will and following the council of the Prophets has had a huge impact on alot of people all ready. I'm so excited to be able to follow not only his experiences these next two years, but also watch the growth & the experiences of the entire mission. I have a deep love for the south as I lived in Atlanta for 2 years & spent a lot of time in the gulf region. From what I have heard you have an amazing group of young men & women & they are going to be blessed by having you as their new President. Congratulations and best of luck to y'all.
